Overview
The FP LO 440A is an economical powerhouse for small-to-mid-size companies that need to process serious volume. It zips through a stack of 100 envelopes in under 15 seconds and sustains up to 420 letters per minute — a maximum throughput of 25,000 pieces per hour — without operator intervention between batches.
A generous hopper accepts envelopes up to 10” x 14” and 3/8” (10 mm) thick, comfortably handling most flats and heavy overnight delivery envelopes. Self-sharpening carbonized-steel blades resist damage from stray paperclips and staples, and there’s no need to presort by size: stack everything together, tap down on one edge to push contents away from the cutting side, and let the LO 440A adapt to different envelopes on the fly. A cut-depth adjustment knob and a no-cut setting for counting round out a workhorse that pays for itself in saved labor.
