Overview
The Formax FD 262 Single-Head Tabber makes quick work of applying tabs to folded mailpieces and is designed to meet all USPS requirements for mailing automation discounts. Crash-tab technology routes each piece edge into an adhesive tab, which is then folded and sealed through rollers — producing tight, secure seals on paper, translucent, or clear tab stock.
An integrated bottom feeder holds up to 200 tri-folds, a 5-digit LCD counter tracks job progress, and tab-density adjustment fine-tunes the spacing for different mailpiece weights. The exceptionally wide 17” material capacity accommodates everything from #10 carriers to self-mailers, and a built-in waste take-up spool keeps the work area tidy. For higher-volume runs, the optional FD 282-30 Drop-Stacking Conveyor (0–124 fpm adjustable) catches finished pieces in order.
